Keep Your Dreams Alive

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

When you have a dream and believe in that dream strongly enough, never give up on it. Hold onto that dream and never let go. Believe with all your heart and soul that you can have what you want.

Then you need to do what is necessary to get there. Put action behind your desires if this dream is truly what you want. If it is truly what you desire, then it will be worth all the energy that you put into it.

I believe that we need to follow our passions. We need to follow our hearts. Our hearts know what we want.

If you have a dream that you cannot let go of, you cannot get it out of your mind, then it is possible for you to attain it. You must keep that dream alive. Do not let any obstacles in your path stop you from believing in this dream. Do not let anything stop you from your goal.

Understand that there will be obstacles because, well, things happen. Life happens. However, if you can believe strongly that you can have what you want, then you can achieve it as long as you keep that desire uppermost in your mind. Keep focused.

If you feel its unreachable, then you must identify what is holding you back from going after your heart’s desires. You must figure out why you have these limiting beliefs. Then change any negative thoughts about them into positives ones and the reasons you have for getting what you want.

It requires is a strong belief in yourself and your abilities. It takes a strong vision and the will to keep going. Tell yourself every day that you deserve to have what you desire.

Always keep your dreams alive. Believe in yourself enough to know that with faith and hard work, you can attain your dreams and goals.

I believe that we all can have what has set our hearts ablaze by simply remembering that all things are possible if we truly have the desire for it. Desire though is just the first step.

We begin with the desire, then must turn that desire into a vision. Next comes formulating the plan. Then we actively pursue the dream we want.

Every time that I look back on my life, I always had dreams of what I wanted. I knew that I wanted to write. However, I never permitted myself to believe strongly enough in me whenever I had a dream and a vision. I never had the courage to keep my dreams alive. I allowed my limiting beliefs to invade my mind. I did not have a strong enough vision implanted in my mind and I had no idea how to turn my dreams into reality.

I allowed other things to interfere and downplayed my desires. Hence the late start in life to become an author. I do believe though, that if it’s something you want bad enough, then it’s never too late to become what you want to be.

I had to learn how to keep my dreams alive. I had to make myself accountable to get what I desired most. I finally understood that dreams are only just that…dreams unless you turn them into goals. I had to believe that my dream was possible. I had to trust in the outcome. I had to have faith. I had to make myself stronger than my excuses. I learned to be firm in my beliefs and deliberate in my actions.

The truth is, that I had to make myself vulnerable. I had to face the fact that I might fail. I had to stop hitting the snooze button on my dreams. Believing in myself and my journey was crucial to attaining my desires. I had to remember the child in me that thought she could and would do anything that she wanted. I had to believe in myself and my intentions to accomplish what I set out to do.

Patience has become one of the biggest lessons that I had to learn. It was also the most difficult for me. Learning to take little steps towards my desires instead of leaps and bounds became my daily mantra. I had to learn to not allow anything to kill my dreams. Any limitations that I put on myself became things I no longer allowed to invade my mind. The limitations that we put on ourselves are only thoughts and we cannot give them any space in our hearts and our minds.

It is possible to live our dreams.

Learning to focus on my dreams and understanding deep in my heart that I could attain what I desired if I worked hard enough for it became my reality.

Doubt had no more control over my thoughts.

It is possible to live your dreams if you desire them enough. Just believe that you can and actively pursue what it is that you want.

Walt Disney said, “The best way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
